What are my behavioral health benefits?

Insurance Co-pays, deductible, and non-covered services payment are due at the time of service.

FORMS OF PAYMENT

Accepting Cash, HSA and all major credit cards. Card transaction fees may apply. For your convenience, you may make payments on your Client Portal. No checks.

Private Pay, or Insurance?

If you are planning on using your healthcare benefits, please consider both the pros and cons of using insurance.

Using insurance may include possible loss of privacy, and confidentiality. Provider/therapist is then required to provide a psychiatric Diagnosis, (dx) justifying ‘Medical Necessity’ for seeking behavioral/mental health treatment, and reimbursement. The diagnosis becomes part of your permanent healthcare record, and Insurance co. have to right to ‘oversee’ ongoing treatment, and may request detailed records of your ongoing treatment without your direct consent.

EAP: do not usually require a diagnosis (dx), EAP is however, short term counseling provided to employees by employers at no cost.

Private Pay: may be your best option if you want to explore any life stressors, adjustments without the restrictions, or limitations from your healthcare insurance, as well as limitations to confidentiality as aforementioned

CANCELLATION POLICY AND FEES  When you must cancel an appointment, please give at least 48 hours advance notice. If you are unable to provide 48 hours notice, you will be charged the full fee for the session, $80.00-$100.00

OUT OF NETWORK

Many clients can receive reimbursement for Out-of-Network providers by their insurance. If you chose this option, I will be able to provide you with a Bill, or invoice for the cost/reimbursement.

Court-Forensic Testimony

I do not offer– child custody evaluations. If subpoenaed, a $4000 retainer payment will be required, plus travel expenses and preparation costs.
